Adolphe Boschot (4 May 1871, Fontenay-sous-Bois, Paris — 1 June 1955, Neuilly-sur-Seine) was a French music critic, musicologist, and essayist, Institut de France member (1926) and Académie des Beaux-Arts secretary (since 1937). He is particularly renowned as the expert on Hector Berlioz and wrote several monographs dedicated to the composer, including a detailed biography in three volumes. Between 1906 and 1913, Boschot worked as a music critic for L'Écho de Paris daily newspaper. (Curiously, Adolphe was the first critic who foresaw potential trouble and voiced concerns over the public reception of Stravinsky's controversial Rite of Spring staged by Ballets Russes when attending the dressed rehearsal at Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in May 1913.)
