Swedish musician (guitar and other stringed instruments and piano instruments), singer, songwriter and arranger, born September 24, 1969 in Tölö. Martin Schaub is the son of flutist Gérard Schaub and teacher trainer Berit Schaub. He is a trained music teacher from the School of Music at the University of Gothenburg. As a musician, Schaub has played with Cue, Fiona Joyce, Marian Bradfield and in Mikael Wiehe's musical The Empress, which he also arranged. As an organizer he has worked with artists such as Daniel Lemma, Miss Li, Timo Räisänen, Gothenburg Symphonics, Cue, Hellsongs, Laleh, Lotta Engberg, Nicolai Dunger and Plura and Carla Jonsson. Several of these collaborations have taken place within the Popical concert series at the Gothenburg Concert Hall, for which Schaub is a regular organizer. Martin Schaub is an instrumentalist, singer and songwriter in the folk rock band West of Eden where his wife Jenny Schaub is also a member. The couple released an album in 2004 as a duo, Kite High. In 2008, Martin Schaub's debut album as a solo artist, Leaving the circus was released on Zebra Art Records.
