Polish cross-disciplinary visual artist and musician (b. 1977, Kalisz); lives and works between Warsaw and Bern, Switzerland. Konrad Smoleński is a multimedia artist and uses experimental video, photography, music, performance and installations arts. He was one of the founding members of the "Panerstwo" art group in Poznan and established Pink Punk alternative music scene. Smoleński also co-founded K.O.T and several other bands, producing a few critically-acclaimed albums. Konrad Smolenski graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań. During his student years, he was among the few photographers, alongside Paweł Kula, Przemek Jesionek and Marek Noniewicz, who experimented with long exposures on photosensitive papers, trying to capture "sun arcs" in the sky. (Their groundbreaking work laid the foundation for solarigraphy, or "solargraphy," which emerged in the 2000s. This movement in experimental photography uses pinhole cameras with ultra-long exposure and no chemical processing to capture the sun's daily journey along the sky).
