Aaron Thomas is an Australian born singer songwriter/composer. He comes from a family of musicians, spending the better part of his life writing and performing. His influences range from Radiohead to The Beatles, Camille, Roy Orbison and Bo Diddley, going through Tiny Vipers or Elvis Perkins, . He has released 3 studio albums (Follow The Elephants - 2007, Made of Wood - 2009, and The Blues and Greens - 2013) and two EPs (Splinter - 2011, and Always a Full Moon - 2016) as well as writing, arranging, producing and performing the soundtrack to a Spanish feature film ('Viaje a Surtsey'). His third and latest album, The Blues and Greens, was recorded in Madrid in the summer of 2012 with a personal collection of songs that range in style from folk to rock to blue grass as well as to pop and instrumental music. It is his first self arranged and produced album. Aaron Thomas returns to Australia after a ten year European musical sojourn to release his debut Australian EP ‘Always a Full Moon’. At its heart ‘Always a Full Moon’ is an Americana album, laced with Spanish and alt-country musical influences, a homage to his time abroad. It speaks plainly of personal pain, aiming to heal the wounds of the past. Thomas’ inspiration was also due to his fascination with David Lynch’s ‘Twin Peaks’ saga, where he often drew from the mood of the series as a writing tool, imagining himself driving through the mountains past the town sign and into the strangeness.
