Noggin

Noggin has been performing freely improvised noise since 1993. The duo consists of Michael Griffen (violin) and Eric Ostrowski (guitar, violin) from Bellingham/Seattle, WA. Over the last several years, they have made a move towards an increasing number of sets featuring two unamplified violins, where the vocal properties of the instrument are employed. The sounds are just as difficult and intense as the electric noise material; but with a lower volume level, the audience is invited to come in closer and get intimate with the sounds and performers.
