Об исполнителе:
Danish rock band formed as The Stringers in Copenhagen in 1959 by vocalist and rhytm guitarist Henning Schmager aka. Kenny, lead guitarist Steen Larsen (replaced 1960 by Poul Klarskov Jensen), bassist Lars "Banan" Pedersen, and drummer Allan Sørensen. Toured Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland in the early 1960's and obtained nationwide airplay in 1962 with debut single Never / Why Little Girl. Became Kenny & The Stringers in spring 1963 when the band was extended with guitarist Jørgen Christensen (2), leaving Schmager to concentrate on the singing. Schmager left the band in August 1963 to join The Cliffters as vocalist. Throughout 1963 and 1964 the band went through several changes in personel, with new members including bassist Søren Seirup and organist Niels Bobber Lindahl. By September 1964 the line-up consisted of Niels E. Skovgaard (vocals and bass), Jørgen Christensen (2) (lead guitar), Niels Bobber Lindahl (organ) and Erik Lindgård (drums). Skovgaard and Lindgård left late 1964 and were replaced by Leif Rosendahl (vocals and bass) and Leif Davidsen (drums). This lineup recorded second single 11176227 in early 1965. March 1965 saw the return of Schmager as lead vocalist and the departure of Rosendahl, while Davidsen was replaced on drums by Sander Nielsen. This incarnation functioned during a short period of 1965 as backing band for American vocalist Johnnie Dee under the moniker Johnnie Dee & His Dee-Troit Sounds. The band disbanded in 1966.
