Wolfgang Mayrhofer

Conductor - Chorus Master. Born in Lembach, Upper Austria, in 1954. Early musical education in his parental home. Studied music at the Brucknerkonservatorium Linz and at the Mozarteum Salzburg. 1977 Musikpädagoge am Musischen Gymnasium und Musikgymnasium der Diözese Linz. 1983 Year of the foundation of the Jeunesse Choir Linz. 1984 winner of the first prize "cum laude" in Neerpelt/Belgium. 1989 winner of the Federal Youth Choir Competition in Graz. Since 1987 Mayrhofer has frequently been working as lecturer for contuctor-courses and cgoir seminars. In 1991 he achieved the "Erwin Ortner-Award" for supporting and promoting Austria Choral Music.
