Douk Saga

Born May 22, 1974 in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast and died October 12, 2006 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Doug Saga was an Ivorian singer and actor. Nicknamed "President", he had considerable influence on the musical culture of Ivory Coast. A pioneer of the Coupé Décalé music style- which he helped to popularize first in Côte d'Ivoire and then throughout Europe.
