Paraguayan lyricist, musician and composer born on Itauguá, May 18, 1897. He was part of that artistic elite that nurtured his knowledge at the Escuela de Música de la Policía de la Capital with the italian teachers Salvador Déntice and Nicolino Pellegrini. His teammates were: Darío Gómez Serrato, Mauricio Cardozo Ocampo, José Asunción Flores, Herminio Giménez, Rudecindo Lugo, Gerardo Fernández Moreno, Antonio Cardozo, Severo Rodas and Manuel Rivas Ortellado, among others. Félix Fernández was a great exponent of good speech in the Guarani language. This is how he wrote his best poems in the vernacular, being also the creator of the Guaraní theater, with Francisco Martín Barrios (brother of Agustín Pío Barrios), who had in Julio Correa the actor and director who brought his creations to the stage. Félix Fernández died on September 13, 1984. He is survived by three children (two boys and one girl).
