Synthpop/EBM band from Aargau, Switzerland, formed in the spring of 1986 by Ralf L. Aerne (vocals, programming, guitar) and Reto Caduff (sampling, vocals). The band released two albums in 1987 and 1988 and a last single in 1989. After the end of Séance, Caduff became a film producer and director at Swiss Television in Zürich. Aerne opened a musical instrument shop in Zürich and worked later for a Swiss furniture company. In 2019 the band reunited, first releasing the album Blue Dolphin Blue in remastered form including a remix of the title track by artist IAMX and My Room by Johan Baeckström. 2020 will see the release of the new album "where we came from" which will be supported by the first live concerts in over 25 years.
