The prog-influenced Star People make music that includes sci-fi lyrical themes (calling to mind the B-52's at times), Orson Welles-type narration, and Rat Pack-influenced arrangements and vocal excursions. Proclaiming themselves to be aliens visiting from the 11th dimension, the band consists of the Teacher (Bill Olland, vocals), Golden Boy Paul (Paul Gifford, vocals/acoustic guitar), Doctor Scott (Scott Treibitz, keys/theremin), bassist Ambassador Randy (Randy Pratt), guitarist Captain Bob (Robert Dean), Helmsman Phil (Phil Weiss, drums), and violinist/vocalist Star Girl (Lorenza Ponce).
