Seattle-based pianist and swing band leader (b. January 16, 1913 Syracuse, Nebraska – d. January 11, 1978 Redmond, WA) Around 1940, Harvey played with the Archie Loveland Orchestra in Seattle. As early as 1942, he headed his own orchestra at an engagement with the China Pheasant Restaurant in Seattle. He also made several recording for Seattle's Linden label, some of which feature him not only on piano but also on vocals. In 1949, Harvey composed "Wouldn't It Be Fun?" (with Bill Wolfstone) and "She's A Personal Friend Of Mine." Both were recorded and released by Linden, but the masters were then acquired and re-issued by London Records.
