The Omar Rodriguez Lopez Trio, or El Trío de Omar Rodriguez Lopez, was an American experimental/psychedelic/jazz ensemble established by Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and active in 2010–2011 alongside the Omar Rodriguez Lopez Group and several other associated collectives, including ORL Quartet and "New" Group. The ensemble featured Aarón Cruz Bravo on double bass and Omar's girlfriend, Ximena Sariñana, on vocals. They recorded the whole album in three days with Omar's "mobile" porta-studio at Zapopan, Mexico. The 2331725 LP came out in January 2010 as a limited edition of 1000 copies on Rodriguez Lopez Productions, accompanied by a "Miércoles" music video. In December 2011, Rodriguez-Lopez reformed his Trio with Juan Alderete de la Peña on bass and Deantoni Parks on drums, touring Australia with Le Butcherettes as a warm-up act; Omar shared the duties between both groups. Omar Rodriguez Lopez Trio gave several one-off concerts in 2012, appearing at the Metamorphose Festival in Japan, where Teri Gender Bender performed as a guest vocalist. (Omar subsequently used parts of the Trio's 2012 live performances on his album on Ipecac Recordings in 2017.) 2010 "acoustic" lineup Omar Rodriguez-Lopez — guitars Aarón Cruz Bravo — double bass Ximena Sariñana Rivera — vocals, Rhodes electric piano, lyrics 2011/12 tour lineup Omar Rodriguez-Lopez — electric guitar, vocals Juan Alderete de la Pena — bass Deantoni Parks — drums
