Oxydoll

A short-lived Japanese punk band from Nagoya formed in the early 1982, active for just about a year. Best known for being one of the first bands (the first one was The Shockers in 1981) the prolific and well-known drummer and actor Tatsuya Nakamura played in when he was still in high school prior to joining or forming bands like The Stalin, The Genbaku Onanies, The God, Masturbation, F.O.A.D., The Star Club, Nickey & The Warriors etc during the mid '80s and forming Blankey Jet City in 1987. Around January 1983, Tatsuya and the singer Non and two former members of the original incarnation of The Genbaku Onanies (a.k.a. Original Genbaku Onanies), Hiko (3) and Ryojio Fujioka tried reuniting The Genbaku Onanies, however, Tatsuya and Ryojio joined The Stalin instead in March 1983, thus Oxydoll disbanded at the same time. Three former Oxydoll members, Gunji, Non and Tatsuya together with Ryojio went on to form a R&R punk band The God in Tokyo upon Tatsuya and Ryojio's departure from The Stalin in June 1983. The former bassist Gunji formed a punk band Vid-Sex in the mid '80s. Oxydoll played a few reunion shows in 2012 and 2013.
