Francisco Aranda

Francisco "Pancho" Aranda (born 18th June 1948 in Valparaiso) is a influential chilean arranger, orchestra director, producer, songwriter, composer, singer and keyboard player. He went to Italy end of the 70s, to work there as an orchestra director and arranger, mostly with the italian artist Franco Califano. Early in the 80s he came back to Chile, to write new material for/with some young chilean artist like Fernando Ubiergo, Juan Carlos Duque, Gervasio, etc. and to work with them in many festivals and competitions, like the "Viña del Mar Festival", among others. Brother of José "Pepe" Aranda and Alfonso Aranda.
