Yoru has been obsessed with music that traces it’s roots back to black music for, well for a long time. He has a deep love for bass, sound system culture, and the idea that music is more than melody and notes, it’s a story, it’s a feeling, it’s a vibe, it’s a family, it’s a community, it’s an identity and a unifying force. Although his output is sporadic, his dedication to learning, exploring and understanding music has been unwavering. One of the co-founders of Rudimentary Records, dedicated selector and DJ, who counts features on 1Xtra, numerous festivals, pirate radio and part of a truly committed network of junglists in Ireland for over 20 years.
