Об исполнителе:
Avantgarde jazz pianist from Aarhus Denmark, born November 8, 1944. Ole Nordenhof was a classically trained pianist, son of Aarhus-based orchestra leader Harry Nordenhof. He was an excellent jazz pianist and composer, with a strong interest for electric music. The two records recorded on 1978 & 1979 -- the trio record Light Shapes Rainbows and the quartet album Ole Nordenhof Kvartet came to be his last recordings. After 1979 he succumbed to the progressive consequences of multiple sclerosis. In late 1983 he had a traffic accident and was severely handicapped after the accident. He lost the ability to play piano, but continued to write new music. He died on December 21, 1991. During 1983/84 he established the record label Fohn Edron, Nordenhof spelled backwards, to release the quartet album above. He is the second cousin of the trumpeter Flemming Nordenhof, with whom he also played in their youth.
