Gerard Carelli

Trombone player Gerard Carelli is a graduate of North Texas State and the Grammy nominated 1:00 Lab Band. His professional experiences are wide and diverse having played with the big bands of Toshiko Akiyoshi-Lew Tabackin, Mel Lewis and Charlie Persip, singers Ray Charles and Mel Torme and Latin legends Manny Oquendo and Hector Lavoe. Carelli has done shows at the 92nd Street Y, Michael’s Pub, Firebird Café, Judy's and Danny’s. His ten-piece ensemble has performed for Lincoln Center's Midsummer Night Swing and hundreds of corporate events. Carelli was a featured guest artist with the Colorado Springs Contemporary Big Band and Connecticut's Galvanized Jazz Band. He performed with local musicians for the Hilton Head Jazz Society and at the San Francisco and Stanford Jazz Festivals.
