Jack Nissenson

Jack Nissenson (1933 - 2015) was a Canadian folk musician and story teller. In the 1960s he was part of the group "Mountain City Four" along with Peter Weldon and the not-yet-formed sibling duo Kate & Anna McGarrigle. Along with Weldon, Marvin Segal, John Knowles and older McGarrigle sister Jane McGarrigle, he later played in a revived version of the group called The What Four. Nissenson is most famous for having recorded an early Bob Dylan concert on reel to reel in 1962. This remains one of the most sought-after Dylan bootlegs to date.
