Gutrot (2)

Formed in 1986 in Wood Green, London with Stevie (ex-AOA (2)) on vocals, Dalb on guitar, Darren on drums and Tim Knight on bass. In 1987 Dalb was replaced on guitar by Dover Steve . In the summer of 1986 the band started squatting in a social services building which they renamed the Kardboard box. This became a rehearsal room and gig venue (the monies of which would always go to a good cause) until the band were evicted at the end of the year. Following the Karboard Box the band squatted in an old dance centre, which was originally a church, which became known as The Ballet School. The band played a major part in the North London squat scene and were actively involved in opening many squats. The band associated with Axegrinder and gigged a lot with them (Darren later went on to play for them). Gutrot played gigs with bands such as Extreme Noise Terror, Chaos UK and Deviated Instinct. The band split in late 1987. Dalb went on to play guitar for Intensive Care (8) and later bass for Argy Bargy and Tim plays bass for Certified.
