Swedish free-lance soprano singer, born December 10, 1946. She grew up in Nås and is educated at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm 1967–1972 with Kerstin Lindberg-Thorlind as main teacher. She masters both folk songs and classical romance singing, and is also an educator, folk song researcher and cultural debater. She was awarded the Jussi Björling Scholarship in 1984 and the Karlfeldt Prize in 2004. Among other things, she played the role of Aruru in Ture Rangström's opera Gilgamesh in Stockholm in 1976. In the early 1980s, she played Brus Britta in the rural play Skinnarspelet in Orrskogen in Malung. She has also participated in the Ingmarsspelen in Nås.
