Ken Kurson

Ken Kurson played bass in the Chicago-based Green (8) between 1987 and 1989. After leaving Green, he formed The Lilacs, singing and playing guitar for the group, recording and releasing one full-length album in 1992. Kurson founded of cryptocurrency site ModernConcensus.com, and sits on the board of directors of Ripple. Previously, he served as editor in chief of the New York Observer from 2013 until 2017. During his tenure there, Algemeiner magazine named Kurson its 2014 "Journalist of the Year" and in 2016, Kurson earned the Scott Turen Champion of Human Spirit Award. He was also a columnist and contributor to Esquire magazine, where his "Green" column covered finance, for almost 20 years. Kurson is the author of several books, including the New York Times No. 1 bestseller Leadership, co-written with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
