Sabine Oehring has performed as a guest soloist with leading orchestras such as the German Symphony Orchestra Berlin (DSO), the Berlin Philharmonic and the Radio Symphony Orchestra Berlin (RSO). She has also been engaged by established contemporary music ensembles for numerous performances and world premieres, as well as for complex concert and film productions. She has worked with the Kammerensemble Neue Musik Berlin, the Ensemble Avantgarde Leipzig and the Ensemble United Berlin. As a soloist she has given numerous concerts and has initiated projects and productions, among them portrait concerts for Béla Bartók and contemporary composers Hans Werner Henze, Isang Yun und Toshio Hosokawa. These concerts presented seldomly performed works for solo and chambermusic. Sabine Oehring’s solo programes are largely based on conceptual ideas and create a conscious connection between compositions from different cultures and epochs. Examples are „ Bach in the Contemporary Music“ or „Takemitsu and the Impressionism“. Her extensive repertoire includes original works and transcriptions for guitar from the baroque and the classical period as well as music from the 20th and 21st century. Concert tours have taken her through Europe and the USA. She has played in prestigious venues such as the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Philharmonie Berlin, the Gewandhaus Leipzig, the Beethovenhalle Bonn, the Wiener Konzerthaus and the Los Angeles Opera. Sabine Oehring studied Classical Guitar at the Academy of Music „Hanns Eisler“ and the University of the Arts in Berlin.
