Pedro Ontiveros

Spanish flute and sax player, born in 1952. He started in music as guitarist in 1969 with a rock band named "Zas", with Manolo Aguilar (bass) and Chema Gonzalez Maldonado (drums). Soon played backing folk singer Hilario Camacho in the first 70s, starting playing also flute and sax. In 1975 he toured with M. Alpuente's Desde Santurce A Bilbao Blues Band and played occasionally with Araxes II and [a1003069]. He joined some friends to found "Malasaña" (later named Suburbano) and played on La Noche Que Precede A La Batalla and with Antonio Resines. In 1977 he joined Luis Cobo and Andrés Olaegui and they found Guadalquivir. He later played with Vicente Soto, Carmen LinaresLater he has collaborated with Ballet Nacional de España.
