Jurriaan Hendrik Andriessen (Haarlem, September 23, 1951 – Heemstede, June 19, 1991) was a Dutch visual artist, musician, composer, writer and utopian. Andriessen is best known as a composer and draftsman of The Portrait of Hedwig. The score is both a drawing of his life companion Hedwig de Beer and a musical composition. He is also the author of the book Eldorica, with a travelogue to a better world (1990). His father was the architect Nico Andriessen (1923-1996). As a member of the well-known Andriessen family of artists, he is a nephew of the composer Jurriaan Andriessen (1925-1996) and a grandson of the composer Hendrik Andriessen.
