Bill Horne (April 10, 1931 - October 22, 2006) was born and passed away in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was a known jazz trumpeter and flutist and worked as a sound engineer as well. Bill owned a recording studio, Áudio Studio B, located at Anita Garibaldi Street, in Copacabana, in which some of the best Bossa Nova and Jazz musicians have played. For some time, Horne was one of the only brazilian members of the USA's Audio Enginnering Society. He played alongside musicians like Baden Powell and Marcos Szpilman. Horne was married to Regina Braga, an artist, writer and poet. Their house became a known spot in Rio at the time for having musicians, artists, actors and actresses over. They had two children, Luciana and Robert. Robert, known as Bob Braga, is also a musician and continued his father's recording studio at other addresses.
