Stanisław Firlej is a professor giving cello lessons at the Music Academies of Łódź (since 1971) and Wrocław. He is a member of the Lodz Scientific Society. He received the Gold Cross of Merit and the Silver Medal of Merit at Culture Gloria Artis. Founder of Polish Camerata orchestra. Attribution of the title of Doctor Honoris Causa in 2015.
