Cheo García is an authentic reference at the moment to talk about the guarachas singing style in Venezuela. García was born in Maracaibo, Zulia state in may 1st of 1926, and since his child began to sang, first of all to the María's virgin advocation, "La Chinita". Cheo started his musical estudios at 9 years old, and soon gained the first place as tenor with the company "Estampas Líricas en Miniatura". In 1956 joined to Juan Arteta and his Juanito Arteta's Orchestra, his introduction to the principal dance orchestras in his country, after that, garcía is incorpored as guarachero with Los Peniques (2) orchestra haining popularity as an effective dance singer. In 1960, the master Billo Frometa offer to García a place as singer in his prestigious orchestra, where sang for more than two decades. Once got out from Billo's Orchestra Billo's Caracas Boys, the service of García are required by Los Melodicos orchestra, keeping with them for two years before to follow his carrear with "La Tremenda", Orquesta De Alberto Muñoz, until he decided to founded the La Gran Orquesta de Cheo y Memo, with his coleguee Memo Morales. Cheo García continued his carrear as soloist with esporadic shows with the orchestra of Billo Formeta son, Charlie Frometa. On november 20th of 1994, the death surprised to Cheo García during a show in Paracotos town. García is remembered as one of the best guaracheros of América.
