Lanny Fiel

Lanny Fiel is a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, piano, viola, fiddle), music director, producer, radio personality, author and teacher from west Texas. He studied at the Texas Tech University School of Music and has played with several bands, including as a guitarist and pianist with Jimmy Buffett & The Coral Reefer Band from 1970 to 1974. He was a violist with the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra, played fiddle in the Yellowhouse Band and founded and directed The Ranch Dance Fiddle Band. He taught country fiddle for the Texas Tech University Band from 1983 to 2002 and hosted a roots music radio show in Lubbock, Texas from 1991 to 1997.
