Swedish actor and operetta singer (soprano), born Björling, June 4, 1943. She is the daughter of Jussi Björling and Anna-Lisa Björling. After a three-year education at Opera Studio 67, Ann-Charlotte Björling began as a romance singer in the early 1970s. Her lyrical soprano was praised and she also showed proof of language talent when she sang the romances in the original languages German, English, Spanish, French and Italian. She made her theater debut in 1978 when she had to jump in as a replacement for Ingegerd Käll in the operetta Little Saint against Nils Poppe at the Maxim Theater in Stockholm. The collaboration with Nils Poppe continued at Fredriksdalsteatern in Helsingborg, where she appeared in Mimmi from Möllevången in 1980, Sten Stensson Steen goes again in 1981, Lilla helgonet in 1984 and Fars lille paa 1985. She has been involved with the Oscars Theater, including as Stasi in The Princess of Csardas and Juliette in The Count of Luxembourg. At Folkan, she played the role of Maria in Sound of Music in 1982. She has participated in several productions with the Stockholm Operetta Ensemble, including the role of Klärchen in Vita Hästen. She has also performed as a soloist at both the Södertälje Opera and the Folk Opera in Stockholm.
