Don Caramelo first gained experience in the Hip Hop scene as a member of the acclaimed Munich group Blumentopf until 1995. He become frontsinger of the Mestizo-Crossover-Band LES BABACOOLS, released several albums with them and toured successfully through Europe. Caramelo was also a featured guest artist, performing songs together with acts such as Gentleman, Orishas, DJ Friction (Freundeskreis) and Karamelo Santo, a well known Argentinian band. In the year 2004 the two brothers formed an spanish-reggae, same titeled, soloalbum project CARAMELO CRIMINAL. They produced it together with the Hamburg based producer SILLY WALKS MOVEMENT. The illustrator and graphic designer founded together with his brother PACO MENDOZA the band RAGGABUND which is his main project now.
