Jess Barr

Guitarist, banjo player and venue owner in Dallas, Texas. Barr died on December 5, 2022, age 46. Originally from Pensacola, Barr also lived in New Jersey and West Texas. He joined alt country band Slobberbone in 1997, leaving the band in 2014. He also played with The Drams, a Slobberbone offshoot formed in 2005. He opened the Twilite Lounge in the Deep Ellum area of Dallas in 2013, followed by a spin-off bar in Fort Worth in 2017.
