John Whenham

English musicologist and academic who specializes in early Italian baroque music. He is a leading expert on the life and works of Claudio Monteverdi. He worked with Anthony Rooley, Emma Kirkby and The Consort Of Musicke on their series of recordings of Monteverdi madrigals, and with The King's Consort on recordings of Monteverdi's sacred music.
