Gerald Vanenburg

Former Dutch International footballer and club manager, born March 5, 1964 in Utrecht, Netherlands. In the course of his 20 year playing career Gerald Vanenburg played for AFC AJax, PSV Eindhoven, Júbilo Iwata in Japan, FC Utrecht, AS Cannes, and TSV 1860 München. Gerald Vanenburg made 173 league appearances for AFC Ajax, and a total of 199 for PSV, scoring a total of 112 league goals for the two clubs. He won the league title 3 times with Ajax (1981–82, 1982–83, 1984–85) and 5 times with PSV (1986–87, 1987–88, 1988–89, 1990–91, 1991–92), winning the Dutch Cup twice with Ajax (1982–83, 1985–86), and 3 times with PSV (1987–88, 1988–89, 1989–90). He also won the Dutch Super Cup (1992) as well as the European Cup (1987–88) with PSV. Gerald Vanenburg was also a member of the Dutch national team squad, that won the UEFA European Football Championship in 1988 in West Germany. As a manager he had lead PSV Eindhoven on various youth levels (2000-05), as well as managing TSV 1860 München (2004), Helmond Sport (2006-07), FC Eindhoven (2008), and serving as an assistant manager to Willem II (2008).
