Abbie Brunies

American jazz drummer, born 1914 in New Orleans, Louisiana, died February 12, 1955 in New York. Worked primarily in New Orleans, but was playing with Sharkey Bonano's band in New York at the time of his death. Do not confuse with his cousin, cornetist Albert Brunies, also nicknamed Abbie.
