Об исполнителе:
Sound engineer at Serif Sound Mastering and, in the 1980s, a punk rock drummer from Cincinnati, Ohio. Hamilton was Sluggo's original drummer (1983-1984) and gave the band its name. Hamilton left Sluggo shortly after the release of the Contradiction EP, which was mastered in the same building where his present studio is located. In the 1990's, Hamilton earned his degree in French Studies from the University of Cincinnati. In 1995, he worked for a small recording studio called, Sure-Tone, with Chris Fee, who was a roadie and sound technician for Midnight Star. In 1999, Hamilton started recording sessions in the old B studio at QCA, using the name, studio B. By 2004, Hamilton had focused entirely on mastering and renamed his studio, Serif Sound. Some notable works Hamilton has been involved with include various selections from indie artists, such as Magnolia Mountain, The Buffalo Killers, The Trainwreck Riders, Tonefarmer, Fairmount Girls, The Hiders, The Chrome Cranks, Leedaman, Black Tribe Coalition, Lingo Recordings, The Boxcar Suite, The White Soots, and The Tigerlillies. Also, Hamilton transferred over 280 reels of an analog tape archive of the public radio show, Jazz with O. T., to CD for the Hamilton County Public Library, where the copies are now on loan to the public. In 2011, Hamilton acquired the old Criteria/Fullersound disk cutting lathe, LS-76 #656, which he set up in the former C Control of QCA (where Mike Fuller first cut records). Hamilton has cut sides for GGR and QCA, as well as for clients of Serif Sound, such as The Tigerlillies, Sluggo, and Hamilton's own music. Offering audiophile cuts with an all-Ortofon cutting system and high-tech L. J. Scully disk-cutting lathe automation, Hamilton is the only disk mastering engineer presently working in Cincinnati, Ohio.
