Об исполнителе:
Big Noise (1981-1987) was an avant guard post punk/funk/ska/world beat band from Bard College in Upstate New York. They frequented Woodstock after graduation in 1984. They recorded 25 master recordings of which only 2 songs were ever released: College Student and (Do The) El Coyote Dip on Black Sheep Records in Red Hook New York. 4 more songs were released on 10 test pressings that never saw the light of day: High School, Virgin's Delight, Tarzan On The Tube and I Love My Job on Luck Plane records. The band dissolved after it was understood that the window of opportunity afforded like minded bands such as Oingo Boingo, Fishbone and Pigbag had finally come to an end. 2 Members stayed in The Hudson Valley and 3 moved to NYC. The band at one time featured the great saxophonist Ralph Carney for a period of 2 years before being shuffled away by Tom Waits.
