A Peckham-born DJ for 6 years… Back in the day, you would have found him playing Jungle at illegal raves in Suffolk. Shortly after that you would have found him playing dark D’n’B in the clubs of Bury St. Edmonds and Ipswich. Now you’ll find him in London to playing Electro House and Disco… A qualified live and studio engineer, Maximilian spends his days at the boards for Lee Rous of the Plump DJs (Album of the Year at 2009 International Breakbeat Awards), Tayo (Soul Jazz / Cool & Deadly) and Joe Ransom (Kiss FM / Fabric). At night you’ll find him behind the decks at the cream of London’s clubs or fulfilling his residential duties at The Old Queens Head, The Devil Made Me Do It.. or Something Smells Funky where he has played alongside Roska, C90s, Dj Vadim, The Freestylers and many other established artists. When time permits, Maximilian also produces Dubstep under his alias Submo and BI-POLAR MEN. All of the music that Maximilian has produced and engineered (including remixes of Animal Collective, Bat For Lashes and Your Twenties and) has been road-tested around the globe by various DJs. Maximilian is currently working on his debut EP. The first track of this (YO) has been recently used on the Plump Djs GLOBAL UNDERGROUND Compilation (ministry of sound).
