Cuban band founded in 1955 by Ricardo Ferro, Bongo player. Its repertoire included popular music like bolero, guaracha, chachachá, son montuno, conga, and danzón. The band was composed by: Piano: Joseíto González who joined in the mid 60s. The original pianist was nickenamed El Butti. Real name not available Vocals: Fernando Gonzalez (bolerist), outsted from the group in the early 80s when his family emigrated to the United States in 1980 and he was not allowed to ever leave the country on international tours. Fernando worked formerly with Ernesto Duarte Brito and his Orchestra in the mid to late 50s, Raul Planas, with his excellent and unique voice timbre and a great "cuban sonero of the old school", Guido Soto who was a secret (or not so secret) member of the Cuban counter intelligence for a period and used to keep an eye on the members of the group when they used to travel outside of Cuba to prevent desertion, Onelio Pérez, Oreste Macías 'el Guapachoso' how many new him for his sultry and unique style of singing and, much later Ricardito Garcia, former member of group Ritmo Oriental that joined in the late 70s Bass: Silvio Vergara "Cuco" Guitar player: There were many guitar players during the life of the Conjunto.
