Keith Carper

Austin, Texas based bassist for over 20 years. He was originally from Roanoke, Virginia and attended Berklee College in Boston before moving to Austin, Texas. He died at his home in New Braunfels, Texas on September 22, 2009. He was a sought-after session player and touring musician. He began his career in his native Virginia with artists Ray Wilkes, Andy Bullington, and Gene & Betty Elders. Upon moving to Texas, he worked with such Texas legends as Hal Ketchum, Kris Kristofferson, Tish Hinojosa, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, George Ensle, and The Resentments with Stephen Bruton and Jon Dee Graham.
