American model, singer, and actress, best known for "The Auntie Dee Show" and other work on local television in Detroit, Michigan. Parker was born in Chicago, but moved to Detroit in 1941 to pursue a career in singing. She originally performed as Del Parker, but changed her name in 1945 to avoid being confused with another singer with a similar name. In the early 1940s she performed with the orchestra of Phil Brestoff, who she later married. Later in the 1940s she performed with the orchestras of Vaughn Monroe and Jimmy Dorsey, as well as Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Parker and Brestoff were married until his death in 1967. In 1968, she married singer Guy Cherney, a childhood sweetheart, and they moved to San Francisco, California.
