Canadian music journalist, author, radio broadcaster, A&R manager, promoter, producer, researcher, consultant and photographer (born ca. 1948). Started his music journalism career in the 1960s at the age of 15, soon finding himself writing for RPM and eventually becoming one of Canada's most prolific and influential music writers. He was correspondent for Rolling Stone and Record World magazines in the 1970s, he co-founded The Record magazine in 1981. When that magazine folded he became the Canadian Bureau Chief for Billboard Magazine from 1991 to 2007, then senior writer for entertainment trade CelebrityAccess since 2008. He's also written about music for Guitar Player, the Globe & Mail, Maclean's, Time, Forbes, and the New York Times. LeBlanc has hosted radio shows on Toronto's Q107, CKFM, and CJCL stations and worked extensively at CBC Radio. He has also made many TV appearances on CBC-TV, CTV, YTV, MuchMusic, Newsworld, VH-1, E Entertainment and BBC. He is a Lifetime Member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame and recipient of the 2013 JUNO Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award.
