Highway Stars (3)

Swedish show rock group from Uppsala formed in 1985. The group became known in the late 1980s and early 1990s for their energetic interpretations of 1970s classics such as Stayin 'Alive, Fox on the Run, Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, Moviestar and more. All performed in period and spectacular stage clothes inspired by foreground artists such as ABBA, Slade, Queen, Village People. Above all, they were known for their ability to get the audience involved in wild dances and singing. Highway Stars toured between 1988 and 1995 in Sweden, but also in Norway, Finland and Germany. In recent years, the group played mostly at major festivals (for example Storsjöyran (1990 and 1994), Gute Rock (1993) and Piteå dansar och ler (1994 and 1995) and finished Stockholm Water Festival, three years in a row.
