Guy Tudy

French guitarist, poet and educator (born 1925 - dead June 2018). He lived in Rennes, and his artist name "Tudy" comes from the little island "île Tudy" that he loved so much. Guy Started playing guitar at the age of 15. A very gifted musician, he was considered a pioneer of the celtic guitar, like Alan Stivell was for the harp. In 20 years, Guy recorded 11 albums, all titled "Guitar Celtique", and wrote more than 1500 texts. His career was national and international, he gave many concerts in France, Switzerland and the former Czechoslovakia until 1990. He worked professionally as a teacher and as educational advisor in music, always at the forefront of music education, he was at the origin of the famous "Cahiers de chant" that have been used by so many generations of schoolchildren.
