Gay Jones

American pianist, bandleader, and composer (born August 7, 1918 in Seattle, Washington – died January 6, 2004 in Port Angeles, Washington) Gay Jones was a staple of the Seattle jazz scene from the late 1930s to the late 1950s. His orchestra was considered Seattle's hottest jazz band both before and after World War II, during which he briefly served in the army (drafted on March 5, 1945).
