QuieroStar is an electronic pop project consisting of Sofia Oportot, Raúl Durán and Arturo Saray (aka Xtralarge). They formed in 2003 after Raúl and Arturo, who had been producing music together as Intersecs and in their electro/techno project Visiona, met Sofia and decided to start a new project drawing influences from electro, italo, synth and timeless pop music. Their first album "Amistades Pasajeras" a was released in late 2009. They have been releasing singles, some of them with collaboration with local artists Mamacita and $990, and 2019 will finally see the release of their second album "Lo haré público".
