American singer born in San Diego, California. Former member of The New Christy Minstrels and former and founding member of Kenny Rogers & The First Edition. Became a solo pop artist in 1969. She also sang backup for Roger Miller on his 1979 album, "Making A Name For Myself", and for the short-lived late '70s blues-rock group Beckmeier Brothers on their songs, "That's What I Like About My Baby" and "You Can Love" from their only self-titled album from that same year. Moved to Europe in the late 1980s, and became a costume/jewelry designer.
