Bondage And The Wankers

Underground legendary [experimental] blues band from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Part of the radical excentricistic new cult wave movement that surfaced in the early 00's. As one of the leading creative expressions associated with the radical excentricisitc movement the band is credited with being the main catalyst for the development of the movements main thinkers and artists. Radical Excentricism is a cultural-artistic school that was part of the academic-artistic avant-garde of the decade. The radical excentricists believe that the illusion of reality is just a concept and focus heavily on exposing this concept. Thus inducing the paradox of reducing every object into a concept. "... because in Post-Modernism the course of events and human reflection thereon, was considered a game. We have transcended this game, by, as last resort, seeing [all of this existence] as a chilling joke ." The band was mainly focussed around front-man and former pornstar / director Mr. Bondage while the core of the Wankers was formed by; Aartmaniak, Hard Core, Bonke and Denniel El, with the addition of Benedictus in 2004. While this was the band's creative core, performances usually included contributions from other artist and performers as well. In consistency with the radical exentricistric philosophy shows were centred around principles like "omission of object" and quite often derailed in viscous orgies of artistic craziness. Due to the live focus of the core and the ever changing line up of contributing artists, the main repertoire of Bondage and the Wankers was based on loose jams centred around a core of drones and motifs. Although a few more "hit" like songs were always part of every set list.
