Gabriel Hernández

Cuban pianist. Gabriel Hernández was born in Cuba on July 16, 1964. At the age of 7 he began to study piano and music theory at the Luis Casa Romero Conservatory, in the city of Camagüey. He has shared the stage with figures such as Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock and Ray Charles, and participated as a pianist for artists such as Gene Pearl, Tito Puente, Bob Sheppar, Roy Hargrove, Arturo Sandoval, Paquito D'Rivera and Greg Fishman, among others. great jazz personalities. He is the founder of Fever Opus, a group with which he has performed at jazz festivals, and other important international stages. Currently, in addition to his career as a jazz solo pianist and his ensemble Mi Quinteto, he is part of the famous group Afrocuban All Stars, directed by Maestro Juan de Marcos Gonzáles.
