Jamie King (b. 1972, Verona, Wisconsin) is an American choreographer, creative director, and stage producer known for his early work with Prince and extensive collaboration with Madonna in the subsequent years. King partnered with many other prolific artists, including Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Avril Lavigne, Spice Girls, Céline Dion, Rihanna, Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, and Nicki Minaj. He was nominated twice for Primetime Emmy Awards in 1995 and 2002 and earned three nominations for "Best Choreography in a Video" at MTV Video Music Awards. King began his career as a dancer, appearing in Cher's music video Love And Understanding (1991) and participating in Michael Jackson's Dangerous World Tour in 1992. Jamie soon met Prince and became a choreographer and creative director at his Glam Slam nightclub in Los Angeles, staging several weekly dance shows. Jamie King worked on Glam Slam Ulysses, a short-lived interactive play with Prince's music starring Carmen Electra, dubbed the "Homer-Erotic Odyssey of Ulysses and his Gang, 'Strays of the World,' thru the Universe of Glam Slam." After a few performances at Glam Slam LA between late August and early September 1993, the show was canceled. They continued working together, and Jamie choreographed a few promo music videos for Prince, such as The Most Beautiful Girl In The World filmed in January 1994, If I Love U 2Night for Mayte, and Betcha By Golly Wow! with 50 ballet dancers shot in early November 96. King appeared with Prince on stage on several occasions as a guest dancer, including a one-off concert at Paisley Park Studios on 7 September 1997 (between the first two legs of the "Jam of the Year" Tour). In January 1995, Jamie King directed a "Purple Medley" section for Prince's appearance at the 22nd American Music Awards, where Madonna also performed with Babyface; impressed by Jamie's choreography, she invited him to work together. King staged a dance routine for the Human Nature music video and worked with Madonna on most world tours and numerous video productions since. Jamie wrote and directed a Cirque Du Soleil show dedicated to Michael Jackson in 2011, The Immortal World Tour. He produced a Super Bowl XLVIII Halftime Show for Bruno Mars and was a concert designer for Adam McKay's 2021 comedy Don't Look Up.
